Thank You for your interest in 2027 Predators Baseball. We are excited to offer our 57th year of Youth Baseball Opportunities. Tryout dates will be posted soon on our website as well as our social media.

Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

For the 2027 season, the player's level will be based on their age on 08/31/2026.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

This program will start in August and run through the end of July 2027.

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices will be held at our Krisik Park as well as other local fields. Games will be held at Krisik Park as well as other teams facilities that we will play. Tournaments will be generally within 1 hour of Genoa City but may be further for a couple of the tournaments.

Practices

When are practices and how often are they?

Indoor practices will be 1-2 times per week. Once the weather improves outdoor practices will be by coaches choice. Generally teams practice twice per week.

Games

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Teams will play 25-45 games through the season. League play will generally be on a weeknight with tournaments generally going Friday through Sunday.

Jerseys

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

2 jerseys, 2 hats, and 1 warm up jersey will be provided. Additional jerseys and pants are available through the team store.

Fundraising

Are we required to participate in Fundraisers?

As an all volunteer, non profit, all of our teams will do some fundraising to help offset costs. We try to keep this to a minimum and we do offer a buyout for those families that do not wish to participate in the fundraising.

Volunteers

Are we required to volunteer?

Yes, as an all volunteer league, we expect each family to contribute a small amount of time where they can. We have many opportunities available to utilize everyone's special skills. From volunteer coaches, to grounds maintenance needs, to concessions, we ask that each family contribute at minimum 6 hours to the program. Without our volunteers we would not exist.

How are coaches selected?

Coaches are selected by the Genoa City Recreation Board. At our younger levels we rely on parent volunteer coaches who display great character, knowledge of the game, enthusiasm, and reliability. Starting in 2027, some of our teams will start utilizing paid coaches to help out the volunteers. We strive to provide the best experience and best coaching for each and every one of our athletes. As parents have more and more commitments, volunteer coaches are becoming much more scarce. We will be utilizing paid coaches to assist in these circumstances. Our older levels will also be adding a few paid coaches in 2027. This is to supplement the knowledge of our upper level coaches and provide the best training we can offer.

Selection and Payments

Team selections will be made by a draft committee for each of our teams after tryouts. Once the teams are selected, coaches will call, text, or email each player to offer a roster spot. This will be followed up with an official offer letter from Genoa City Predators Baseball. This offer letter must be signed and a deposit applied to secure your team roster spot. Payment plans will be offered at that time. Team costs will be finalized by the tryout dates.

Spring Summer 2027

Genoa City Softball is back! For the 2027 season we are planning on offering 10U-16U. We are looking for coaches for 10U and 12U at this time.
