Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Teams are available for athletes 8 years old to 19 years old. For players younger than 8 we have a separate registration for rookie league.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

These teams start winter practices in January 2027 and will continue through late July 2027.

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Indoor Practices are at Westosha Sports Complex in Silver Lake, WI as well as area gyms. Outdoor Practices and home games are held at Krisik Park in Genoa City, WI. League games and tournaments are generally within a 1 hour drive. Some tournaments may be further.

Practices

When are practices and how often are they?

Practices vary depending on age and coach. All teams will practice a minimum of twice per week unless games do not allow.

Games

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Teams will play 20-50 games depending on age. Generally practices and league games are during the week with tournaments being on the weekends.

Jerseys

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

2 Jerseys, 2 hats, and 1 warm up Jersey are included in fees. Pants are available through the team store for purchase or can be purchased on your own.

Extra Costs

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Spirit wear, game pants, team special activities, and maybe a hotel stay will be the only additional costs.

Volunteers

Are we required to volunteer?

Yes, as an all volunteer league, we expect each family to contribute a small amount of time where they can. We have many opportunities available to utilize everyone's special skills. From volunteer coaches, to grounds maintenance needs, to concessions, we ask that each family contribute at minimum 6 hours to the program. Without our volunteers we would not exist.

How are coaches selected?

Coaches are selected by the Genoa City Recreation Board. At our younger levels we rely on parent volunteer coaches who display great character, knowledge of the game, enthusiasm, and reliability. Starting in 2027, some of our teams will start utilizing paid coaches to help out the volunteers. We strive to provide the best experience and best coaching for each and every one of our athletes. As parents have more and more commitments, volunteer coaches are becoming much more scarce. We will be utilizing paid coaches to assist in these circumstances. Our older levels will also be adding a few paid coaches in 2027. This is to supplement the knowledge of our upper level coaches and provide the best training we can offer.

Selection and Payments

Team selections will be made by a draft committee for each of our teams after tryouts. Once the teams are selected, coaches will call, text, or email each player to offer a roster spot. This will be followed up with an official offer letter from Genoa City Predators Baseball. This offer letter must be signed and a deposit applied to secure your team roster spot. Payment plans will be offered at that time. Team costs will be finalized by the tryout dates.

Travel ball Spring Summer 2027

Welcome to the 2027 Genoa City Predators team tryout registration. Tryouts will be held through the month of July and offers will be sent out when tryouts are complete. Please register your athlete for the tryouts and check back for exact tryout dates. We recommend your athlete tryout for the team that is appropriate for their grade in school but age on May, 1 2027 will be the deciding factor for which team they are eligible.
