About Our Program
Genoa City Recreation was founded by Stan Torstenson in 1970 to provide an opportunity for kids in Genoa City and its surrounding areas to play baseball.
Throughout our 4 decades, thousands of players have gone through our program and we’re proud to say we’re still going strong!
Our focus is on the boys become better ballplayers and teammates by consistent hard work and dedication to not only their teammates and coaches, but to themselves.
Our coaches believe in helping develop our player’s character which will not only benefit them in baseball, but for a lifetime.
How We’re Different
Genoa City Baseball is a little different than most baseball teams that around these days. Our organization is fortunate to own our own facility which consists of four baseball diamonds, two batting cages, concession stands and a maintenance shed. All on 15 acres!
Where other programs use commercial facilities for their baseball games and tournaments, we are grateful for the REAL home field advantage we have by playing at our very own Krisik Park here in Genoa City.
From our board members to field maintenance crew and everything in between, we are 100% volunteer based. We are constantly working to improve our facilities to offer our players and community the best opportunities that baseball has to offer.
With our players, parents, volunteers, and community, we are unstoppable.
